Jennifer has had two special friends near and dear to her heart. It is funny, because those friends are, in my opinion, as different as day and night. Jenny is a delightful spirit. Happy with cats, books, non-english speaking adults, and her husband Joel, and it seems to me, the possibility of living in poverty in remote areas in Honduras. And I don't think Jenny ever owned a Kaboodle! I wish I had a recent picture of Jenny and Jennifer together. Maybe the next visit I will remember.
Jackie on the other hand likes to run with a "have a good time" crowd. She dresses to the 9's, works out 1 and 1/ 2 hours per day at the gym, and gets text messages from "Snoop Dog". Like Jennifer, Jackie probably has the equalivent of 10 Kaboodles!
I am not in anyway shape or form saying one is better than the other.....just completely different in their lives. Yet, I know Jennifer loves them both dearly for who they are.
Jackie has flown in from Colorado for the weekend. I think to help Jennifer celebrate her 27th birthday. They have a hotel reservation downtown, and are going to see the sights that Houston has to offer to the young. Jennifer and Jackie are like two peas in a pod. It is almost overwhelming to have the two of them in the same room. They left the house, with a total of 10 pair of shoes and I do not know how many outfits, and a large enough selection of music to listen to for weeks. I inquired as to why so many shoes and outfits and music, for one night out on the town. Apparently, half of the fun to them is trying on clothes, and deciding what to wear, while listening to music.......this must take hours. I guess its like playing dress-up. What girlie girls.

My Three Daughters
Family trees can be confusing to me. It is not so much as who sits on the branch next to you, as to the proper name to call them. My cousin, Katy, has a daughter named Corey. Now since Katy is my first cousin, I think that Corey is my "first cousin, once removed".....some people tell me she is my second cousin. Maybe second cousin is the same thing, just a shorter version....I am not sure, so if anyone knows, please tell me. Now, after that, Corey, be she my first cousin, once removed, or my second cousin, has not seen Jennifer since they were little girls, like 7 or 8 years old, at the most. And she has never met Jessica and Catherine. Corey requested some pics of the girls. I am posting this one, although it is not the most recent, I love this picture. So here are my daughters, from left to right, Jessica, Jennifer, and Catherine( this picture was taken BM.....before Mia)

THE COW AND THE BUNNY
Wednesday, November 01, 2006
Jennifer's friend from school, Crystal, stays with us during the week. She and her precious baby sleep on my couch. ( I wish I had an extra bedroom!). India is 3 months old. She is very sweet. She went with us trick-or-treating. She was dressed as a bunny. Her suit was too big, but it just added humor to the whole look! I said like with all chocolate bunny's, I just wanted to bite her ears off first! Mia loves India. They spend part of the days just making baby noises at each other. It is very cute! Mia wants to pull on India's little hands and feet. India does not think that is a good idea.

Trick or Treat!
Mia's first Halloween. I know some folks believe that "celebrating" this "holiday" is a bad thing. I do not want evil in my life or my family's and do not wish to "celebrate" anything that brings a positive spin on a bad thing................BUT..................I do not see Halloween as a celebration of the devil. Honestly, I see it as a time for kids to go and get free candy! Now that I been politically incorrect, let me continue. I was thinking as I was leaving school yesterday, about how excited I was to be taking Mia trick-or treating. Actually, Catherine called "dubs" on taking Mia the minute I think Jennifer told us she was expecting! Anyway, I then continue thinking that really Mia is too little to want candy, or want to get dressed up, or know what is going on at all....and then I realize, that like many other human traits I am not too proud of, there are only two reasons to take an 11 month baby trick-or treating. One is to get free candy without looking gready. They give it to her and then we eat it. The other reason it to show others how cute I think she is! Either way, the motive is not one to boast about! The end result was that both of those goals were met............we got to show her off, and we got to eat her candy. We actually only took her to about 4 houses of people we knew....and she didnt have a lot in her pumpkin........so we made a block in a neighborhood where her great grandmother lives. As Catherine put it, we increased our candy"exponentially" ! Aren't we great role models!
